Hablar de Blitz The Ambassador es hablar de una nueva generación de artistas del hip hop.
Nacido en Ghana, Blitz the Ambassador creció al ritmo de Afro-Beat, Highlife, Jazz y Motown pero no fue hasta que escuchase al clásico ,” It Takes A Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back” de Public Enemy, en su infancia que saltó la chispa y cambió su mentalidad para siempre. Y así es que empezó su andadura en el mundo de las mixtapes.
Blitz cuenta que “Estaba harto de que los sellos discográficos me dijesen que mi música tenía que sonar ”como alguien”, así que llegué a casa y escribí ´Remembering The Future´”
Tener las ideas tan claras le hizo lanzarse a la aventura sin el apoyo de ninguna discográfica y tal es la calidad de su producto que el pasado Agosto, alcanzó los Top Ten de la lista de Hip-hop de iTunes con el lanzamiento de “Stereotype”, su primer trabajo. El siguiente paso fue conseguir que su vídeo “Breathe” estuviese rondando por MTV2 durante todo el verano. De ahí que MTVU decidiese grabar una “Live Session” junto con John Forte (de The Fugees) Y es que este compositor y cantante de Ghana está generando polémica.
Este verano saldrá a la venta un vinilo exclusivo y de edición limitada con el sello Bobbito García (de Fat Beats) con la re-edición de sus canciones bajo el nombre de “Stereolive” y es que, no conformándose con haber actuado con artistas de la talla de Nas, The Roots, Mos Def, Akon, Fabolous, Rakim, Slick Rick, Styles P, Rakim, Das Racist por medio Estados Unidos, Blitz The Ambassador ha fundado su propia banda musical “The Embassy Ensemble” buscando ese sonido con instrumentos en vivo que pone los pelos de punta.
