Me piden en 24siete que venga aquí a “hablar de mi libro”… de mi disco, en éste caso… difícil papeleta. No sé por dónde empezar, ni como hacerlo para no resultar pedante, como ésta pequeña introducción que hago para suavizar un poco el asunto. Lo voy a intentar…
Después de andar recopilando algunas ideas, textos y ritmos (o esqueletos, más bien), y un poco “quemado” de grabar y tocar con y para otros, vi el momento de hacer un pequeño paréntesis con todo esto y con Aerolíneas Subterráneas (antes de que alguno pregunte, os diré que estoy con ello) para hacer algo nuevo y ésta vez sentirlo como muy mio. Llevaba en la cabeza la idea de que fuese un trabajo menos disperso que lo que hasta ahora he venido haciendo, y que a la vez supla alguna de las carencias que tener una banda con muchos miembros conlleva: la poca libertad de movimiento que esto te deja para poder salir a tocar lejos de casa. Las razones, muchas y muy diversas, pero ahora no vienen al caso. Todo esto fue hace ya un año largo y me puse manos a la obra como el que empieza un proyecto en la escuela: diciendo “el lunes me pongo”… y el lunes me puse…
Y me puse a ordenar el chiringo, ésta vez con un dibujo en la cabeza más o menos claro de quién quería que apareciese, y dónde quería que apareciese. En el bajo, en la guitarra, en las teclas, en las voces…quise hacer un tema con Feo1delGremio para meterme en ese universo bizarro que tiene en la cabeza y lo hice. Quise hacer un tema con Sr. Zambrana, con Welelo y con DJ Chavez porque son mi equipo y mi complemento perfecto y lo hice. Vi clarísimas en mi cabeza las voces de Shuga y Aniki en “Se ve la superficie lejos” y en “Acción de gracias” y la realidad superó a la ficción. Quise tener ésta vez a P. Jacob en todo su esplendor y lo conseguí (música en “Acción de gracias”, voz en “Barna estado mental” y responsable del sonido del disco… para mí siempre un 10). Escuché un par de ritmos una tarde de Julio que habíamos quedado para otra cosa en casa de Don Vuelo y pensé que serían un complemento perfecto para mi sonido y se los exigí (no le quedó más remedio que decirme que sí para que lo dejase en paz), y tuve a DJ Biten, tuve a Charlie Cuevas, a Siso Buesule, a Piti Elvira, a Eric, a Angelo… siempre al lado mío y sin pedir nada a cambio… todo un puzzle que se ha convertido en el trabajo que tienes “entre manos” (cada día es más un decir). Tengo la suerte de haber tenido a toda esta gente a mi lado para firmar un trabajo “en solitario” y saciar así mi ego y mi necesidad de seguir creciendo como músico y como persona. Ahora sólo espero que te haya merecido la pena haber perdido el tiempo leyendo esto y oyendo el álbum. Por cierto, puedes descargarlo a través de www.clavoardiendo.com …
